We have made the Crown Court interior modern, fresh and welcoming – although some parts of the old police station do still retain their character (look out for the cells!)

In the Courts Café & Bar is a conveniently sited Visitor Information Point where there are leaflets on display for all
local events. our charming and friendly staff have been trained by Cumbrian Tourism to assist you with your enquiries.
There is a laptop and free internet access to the cumbrian Tourism web site. Come along and browse the information and plan your days in comfortable surroundings over a cup of coffee or tea.
NOTE: if you take a receipt from the Crown cafe this will give you a discount to the South Lakes Wild Animal Park, so why not have a breakfast with us and use your receipt.
There are disabled facilities and access.

Going through the main entrance at the front of the building you enter the Café & Bar area. From here you will be shown to one of our dining rooms…
The Café Bar itself with it’s cosy fireplaces, leather sofas, ambient music & sympathetic lighting effects
The Dalton Room at the back of the building, with it’s relaxing ambience & suberb murals of Dalton by local artist Brian Miller
The Court Room at the front of the building, oak panelled, steeped in local history & is home to our resident invisible pianist!
The ceiling mounted sound system ensures an appropriate ambience.
Our friendly staff will ensure your stay with us is a pleasant one and the food we prepare is to a very high standard.
